Waterfront advises shareholders of WSI (trading as Xceptor) on sale to SVG Capital
Waterfront has advised the shareholders of Web Services Integration Limited (WSI) on the sale of a majority stake in the business to SVG Capital plc (SVG).
WSI, trading as Xceptor, is a fast growing Fintech business headquartered in London. WSI’s highly differentiated Xceptor software platform is used by middle and back office operations within global financial institutions such as JP Morgan, Glencore and HSBC to process high volumes of business critical data.
The Waterfront team was led by Matt Cunningham with support from Graham Halliday. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Matt Cunningham commented: “We have worked with WSI since its start-up days and it’s great to see the team rewarded for all their hard work.”
Dan Reid, co-founder of WSI, commented: “Matt’s calm and patient approach, attention to detail and dedication to the process made a huge difference. It was genuinely enjoyable to work with him, and that’s probably not often said of lawyers (or software guys for that matter!).”
Pete Madigan, co-founder of WSI, commented: “Selling a business is a complicated and stressful time and it’s important to have advisers you trust to guide you through the process. Matt was calm and reassuring throughout, a great asset to have on our side during complex negotiations.”
