Waterfront has advised Daniel Lee and Ian Parry, the founders of Globrix, in relation to the sale of a stake in the company to The Digital Property Group (the digital media arm of Daily Mail & General Trust) for an undisclosed sum. Globrix was founded in 2007 and is the UK’s largest free-to-list property search engine.
The Waterfront team advising on this transaction was led by Matt Cunningham with support from Tanveer Pawar.
Reynolds Porter Chamberlain provided legal advice to the buyer.
Daniel Lee said: "Waterfront advised me on my MBO from News International and the subsequent sale of a stake in my company, Globrix, to Daily Mail & General Trust. Waterfront were able to advise on all necessary areas of law for these transactions and support us in a very complex legal process where the other side was using much larger city firms. Being a small business it was crucial for us to find top quality legal advice but at a fraction of the cost of the big city firms, which is exactly what Waterfront provide. I would recommend them without hesitation."
